Christmas Eve

   

Hi Everyone!  So far this has been a wonderful holiday weekend for me and my family.

    

We went to Heather's Mom and Dad's Christmas party on Saturday night.  Once again, like Thanksgiving, it was so wonderful.  Lots of people showed up.  The food was out of this world!  Shrimp cocktail, salad, ham, prime rib, the freshest fruit you can imagine and some wonderful desserts.  It amazes me that Heather doesn't weigh 1000 pounds growing up eating like this. LOL  They had a string quartet playing Christmas music and we even joined together singing some carols.  My sister and rest of the family really enjoyed themselves.

   

Here it is Christmas Eve.  Man has this year flown by fast.  It seems like it just turned 2007 and we are only a week away from another year.  Is it just me or is it the older you get the faster time seems to fly?

               

I want to wish all my friends here in J-land the most festive, the most fun filled, the most joyous and happy of Christmas seasons ever.  Remember the reason for the season, why we celebrate this holy day.  Have faith, stay strong, be positive, love one another, and don't allow any negativity to enter your souls today and tomorrow and beyond.

Big Sis is Here

    

Hi Everyone!  I'm so glad it is now the Christmas weekend.  I'm so excited.

 

Yesterday, me and Heather went out and we sure did our share of shopping.  I got all my gifts out of the way now.  It is so fun to shop with Heather.  We went to Nordstrom, her favorite store in the whole world.  I swear we spent two hours there alone.  She did a lot of shopping for herself as well as for Christmas.  Of course, being the sweet person she is, kept trying to buy me stuff.  I resisted, well, that is up until we went to Victoria's Secret.  I can't control myself in there.  I bought some cute camisoles and bras, and Heather insisted that I need this cute little laced nitey, and so I had to go home with that as well.

 

Then it was off to Macy's, JC Penny's, and a few other specialty stores in the mall.  Then we went out to dinner at Acapulco Mexican restaurant.  I love their chips and salsa.  I had the chicken fajitas and Heather did likewise.  Of course we had to wash it all down with a couple strawberry margaritas. 

 

This morning I went to the airport to pick up my sister Carrie and her husband.  They will be staying here for the next week or so, until January 3.  She looks pretty good for all she has been through and was in good spirits.  I sure have missed her and I know she has missed all of us.  Tonight we are all going to Heather's for her parents Christmas party.  That should be a real blast.

Wet and Interesting

         

Hi Everyone!  How was your day?  Mine was good.  As I was explaining to someone, it was busy, interesting and wet!  Of course the man I was explaining this too immediately got the idea that the wet part was his cue to get flirty LOL.

 

It has been raining here in sunny Southern California today.  I love the rain.  I'd probably love where my sister is, but she is having a hard time getting used to the wet and cold Seattle winter.  And it isn't even officially winter yet.  LOL

    

Heather called me today all happy.  She finally completed the last of her exams and we are headed for the malls on Friday afternoon.  Watch out Nordstroms and Victoria's Secret!!!

Now it is on to the number one sexy athlete on my list.  Yes, he is a quarterback and he plays for the New England Patriots, the hottest NFL team around.  Tom Brady, who has already won three superbowls in is career is making not only a bid for a fourth but also for MVP in the league this year.  He is so hot and yummy!  He is hot and he could take me with him to the Pro Bowl in Hawaii if he wants!  LOL

Monday Monday

  

Hi Everyone.  I hope you all had a good Monday.  Can you believe that Christmas eve is one week away, and New Year's eve is two? 

       

It was a bit on the chilly side today with, it looks like, a little bit of rain headed our way.  We need the rain, but not too much in those burn areas because there will be flash flooding and mudslides if it is too heavy.

 

I see that Todd won Survivor last night.  I was hoping Amanda would but she didn't.  I am excited about a new season of Big Brother coming in February.  It usually starts in July but it is coming earlier this year.  I just hope it doesn't go head to head with American Idol which starts next month.  I can't wait for the 4th season of Lost to start next month either.

Ok, so now it is on to the #2 sexiest athlete in my top five.  He is my homeboy and graduated from the University of Southern California.  He won the Heisman Trophy a couple of years ago and now plays for the Arizona Cardinals of the NFL.  Matt Leinart has always done something for me.  He is tall and hot!  Don't you think so?

Sunday Happenings and Fun

      

Happy Sunday to Everyone!  Thanks to Emmi for the nice tag!  It is just going to be a lazy day around here for me with nothing much to do.  Rene, of course is working.  It is a miracle that he actually had a day off on Friday.  Poor guy, he is getting really fatigued. 

 

So, have all of you finished up your Christmas shopping yet?  I have not.  I am waiting for my friend Heather to finish up with her exams, the last one being tomorrow, and then we can go out and do a "shop til we drop session at a mall or too!"  LOL  I just love shopping with her.

       

Well here we go.  Number 3 on my list of Sexiest male athletes.  This guy comes from the world of Nascar and he is my favorite driver.  He is so cute and his eyes are so pretty!  Kasey Kahne drives the #9 and will be in the Budweiser car next season.  He didn't have the best year in 2007 so hopefully his 2008 will be a banner one for him.

Last Night, Number Five, and Surveys

      

Hi Everyone!  Today is Saturday and I'm glad for it.  It was a kinda busy week at work but a rewarding one nonetheless.  I finally got the chance to spend some time with my honey last night.  We celebrated  his birthday, somewhat belatedly, by going to the Olive Garden for dinner.  I love that place, and it is Rene's favorite.  Funny, but Rene is of course Mexican but he'd rather go to an Italian food restaurant than a Mexican food restaurant.  We shared a bottle of Merlot wine and boy did it taste good.

 

Then we headed on off to the AMC theatres to catch a movie.  We say I Am Legend.  This was a very exciting movie.  I knew going in that it would be good based on all of the reviews I had heard.  I was not disappointed at all.  Will Smith ought to be nominated for an Oscar.  It will, by far, make the most money of any film this weekend.  There were so many people standing in line to see it.

 

Well, today, just time to relax.  Rene had to go in to work and Heather is still busy studying for one last exam she has on Monday.  I know she will be glad to get it done with then have three weeks off.  I will be glad too.  I miss seeing her, although I have talked to her most days.  Her family's Christmas party is next Saturday night, and if it is anything like the Thanksgiving one it ought to be full of wonderful food, yummy!  Can't wait to go.

         

Here is number 4 on my list of top five sexiest athletes. This one comes from the world of golf.  Tiger Woods is by far the best golfer in the history of the PGA and with that he is a very good looking man.  He is the kind of guy I would have never hesitated in going out with had I had the chance to meet him.  But alas, I am married, and so is he to a very beautiful woman and they have a child together now as well.  What do you think, a good choice to be included in my list?

Hi Everyone.  I hope you all had a wonderful Thursday.  Thank goodness tomorrow is Friday, I'm ready for the weekend.  I wanted to say first and foremost tonight, that I am happy to report that Rene loved his birthday present!  And so did I!  Hehehe
