Surprise! Surprise! Surprise!

Hi Everyone!!  I am so freakin excited right now!!!  I got to Heather's house about an hour ago and the surprise that Heather had been promising me all week greeted me at the door.  It was my cousin Michelle.  OMG, she is right, I would pee my pants.  I almost literally did!  She is going to be here until Sunday and is going to the game with us tomorrow.  She is a UCLA grad, so she will be rooting for the enemy, but it is so good having her here, especially after having to take care of me in AZ.  We are going out to have some girlie fun tonight!  Luv ya!!  TTFN

Tuesday

     

Hi Everyone!  How was your Tuesday?  Mine was ok.  I went to bed last night with a very sore throat, but not before I downed a couple of hot teas with lemon and honey it as prescribed by the sweet Lisa from San Mateo.  I woke up and the sore throat was gone.  Not taking any chances tonight and will repeat it.  I have however had a relapse in my cough.  I hate this stuff.  I got a new prescription for cough medicine with codeine in it.

 

I talk to Heather today about the game on Saturday.  Can't wait to see USC smoke the UCLA Bruins this year and go to the Rose Bowl.  Heather said that she had a fantastic surprise for me too.  I'm staying at her home on Friday night and she said she would spring it on my then.  I love and hate surprises.  I love them because they get me so excited.  I hate them because they drive me nuts trying to figure out what it may be.

 

I guess a couple of days isn't too much to wait.  Anyway, I will make this short.  Have a happy hump day Wednesday!  And thanks to Emmi for the nice Graphic!  Luv ya!  TTFN

Happy Birthday and My Saturday

 

Hi everyone.  How has your weekend gone.  Mine has been pretty nice despite this nagging cough.  I went out with Heather yesterday and did a lot of shopping.  Of course this girl had to go to Victoria's Secret and I think I'm getting my girlie girl hooked on that place as well.

 

I want to send out Happy Birthday Wishes to my sweet sister Carrie.  She has reached the grand age of  . . . of course I can't tell you because a lady never reveals her own age nor her sister's age if she values her health.  Happy Birthday Carrie!!!  Luv ya so much and miss you tremendously.

 

Oregon lost yesterday and that means that the game next week for USC against UCLA will be for a trip to the Rose Bowl game!!  I can't wait and this year those Bruins are toast.

My Thanksgiving

 

Hi Everyone!  It is a beautiful Friday morning here in California.  I am happy to say that I am not one of those crazy souls braving the stores on this Black Friday.  I don't need all that hassle.

 

I wanted to tell you about my Thanksgiving yesterday.  I am still a bit on the fatigued side but otherwise doing ok.  Me, my mom and dad, and Rene went to Heather's house yesterday afternoon and stayed quite a while.  We were invited along with over 100 others.  They always have a big get together on Thanksgiving and let me tell you it was such a privilege to be invited.  I really do love Heather's family.  I did spend some of the time all spread out on Heather's bed.  Her bed is so comfortable, it is I King size too.

 

OMG, that menu was so delicious.  You won't believe what was on it if I tell you.  But I will anyway.  There of course was the traditional Turkey, but there was also Ham and Prime Rib.  There was salad, caviar, shrimp cocktail, fresh fruit, including pineapple and the sweetest strawberries you have ever tasted.  There were garlic mashed potatoes, a wonderful rice pilaf dish, super fresh green beans,and the tastiest rolls in the world.  For dessert there was a choice between a chocolate mousse, apple pie a la mode, or pumpkin pie.  This whole thing was catered.  I was in heaven.

 

I still feel stuffed as Turkey after that.  I think I probably gained ten pounds overnight.  I will have to workout forever to work it off LOL.  The topper of the day was that USC defeated Arizona State 44-24 and they still have a chance to make the Rose Bowl.  I sure hope they do, I am hoping that Heather's dad will invite me.  We are going to the USC vs UCLA game a week from tomorrow.  One thing I want to say about those ASU students, I think you are a bunch of nasty jerks having t shirts that said FUSC and I even saw a sign that said University of Spoiled Children.  I think you are just jealous and maybe the hot weather has wilted your brains.

 

I decided to spend the night here with heather as well.  I was getting pretty fatigued by the end of the evening and sweet heather insisted that i get some rest.  She is so special.

I also want to talk about something that is bugging, an has been for a couple of days now.  It is nothing serious, well at least to us, but did any of you watch the Bachelor, which ended this Monday and Tuesday?  I am so freakin upset at the idiot Brad!  He couldn't choose between to very lovely girls, Deanna and Jenni?  I mean come on!  He is either gay or his agenda was to just get publicity for his bar business.  How could you not fall for Jenni or Deanna?  Those two girls fell badly for him and he chose neither.  What a moron.  Can you tell I'm mad over this!  LOL

Hi Everyone

I just wanted to stop bye and let everyone know that I'm OK.  I am in very good hands with Heather here.  She has been such an angel, she cares so much.  I really don't have a fever to speak of today, but I am a little weak.  Taking my antibiotics and such.

 

I did want to address an issue that has been brought up by several people.  Rene didn't stay for the weekend because he had planned this trip for a long time.  I assured him that I would be OK, I knew that Heather would be here to make sure I was OK, so I gave him the OK to go.  He has called a couple of times with concern in his voice and has told me that half of him is guilty for leaving me like this.  I insisted that he go.  He loves me and I love him.

Not Feeling Very Well

Hi Everyone.  Just a very short entry tonight.  I am so very drained right now.  I have been resting for most of the evening.  My sweet friend Heather, who has been worried about me, convinced me and even took me to see the doctor today.

 

It turns out that my being sick is more serious than just a cold or flu.  I was told that I have borderline pneumonia.  The X-rays seem to confirm that.  I have never felt so week in my life.  Heather is here spending the weekend with me, she is such a dear friend.  So I'd better get off before I fall asleep doing this.  Have a good weekend.  Luv ya!  TTFN

Hi Everyone.  Well, I made it back from Arizona today, and I'm still alive!  LOL 

 

I was able to go to the race yesterday.  Still coughing and not particularly feeling up to par I wasn't going to miss everything on this mini vacation.  It was fun, but I was so darn tired and worn out to enjoy it completely.  It didn't help that Kasey Kahne crashed is car into the wall.  That was a freakin bummer!

 

I was in no mood to have any drinks and party.  Thank goodness the seats we had were primarily in the shade.  I think being in the sun would have sapped any energy I had left. 

 

Michelle took me to the airport this afternoon.  Good ole Sky Harbor.  I wish I could have stayed longer.  I didn't have the time I had anticipated and I feel a little down because of that.  But I guess there will other times.  I love my cousin and her children so much.  We have always been so close, but seeing her since she moved to Arizona hasn't been all that easy.  And when I get the chance I felt like I blew it by being sick.  Does that sound stupid or what?

 

Anyway, I won't continue to bore you.  I hope you will all have a nice week.  Hopefully I can go to work tomorrow.  Luv ya!  TTFN

Sick Chick Here

Hi everyone.  Just a short entry.  I'm here in Arizona with my cousin Michelle.  It hasn't been the best of trips.  This chick is a sickie.  Notice I said sickie and not sicko!  LOL

 

Ever since I got off the plane I haven't felt well.  I have felt nauseous and had a fever for two days along with a nagging cough.  I can't even hold my little cousins.  They are so adorable!  I am hoping to be able to go to the race tomorrow but I feel so weak right now.  I will force myself if I have to.  Poor Michelle is taking care of her kids and one big kid me.  This isn't how I planned this trip.  I wanted to spend some quality time with her and instead I am a patient.  LOL

 

Anyway, I hope you have all had a good week and that your weekends will be great.  Luv ya!  TTFN

I'm going on a Short Vacation

Hi Everyone!  I hope you are doing well.  I'm doing ok.  I have had a bit of a cough for the past several days.  I almost completely lost my voice yesterday, but it is somewhat ok now even though I am nursing a sore throat and a cough.  But that won't get me down.  I'm bound and determined to go to Phoenix tomorrow to see some of my family and my cousin Michelle particularly.  Of course I will be going to some races this weekend.  I love Nascar.

 

Speaking of races.  I went to the Drag races in Pomona this past Sunday.  They were pretty cool and awesome.  The sound and vibration from those cars goes right through you!  I am planning on doing that again sometime, hopefully soon.

 

I had lots of fun with Heather on Saturday going to the USC vs Oregon St. game.  Our Trojans won!  It was also homecoming which makes it even more special.

 

Anyway, I don't know if I will be on much if at all the next few days.  So I wish you all a fabulous remainder of your work weeks and fantabulous weekends as well.  Of course have a great and happy hump day.  Luv ya!  TTFN
