This That and the Other

Hi everyone!  I'm feeling a lot better this week.  Last week was just painful.  I haven't much felt like writing in here but here I am anyway.

I hope you all voted yesterday.  My candidate, Hillary Clinton, won here in the state of California.  I thought it was interesting that she won in Massachusetts after Ted Kennedy, Caroline Kennedy, and John Kerry endorsed Obama.  Maria Shriver, the Governator's wife here in Cali endorsed him as well.  The Governator himself endorsed John McCain who won the Republican side of the primary.

My sister isn't doing so hot these days.  She isn't eating very well, she is losing some weight, but so far no hair loss.  They told her she may not lose her hair because the dose of chemo she is receiving isn't the highest by any means.

I watched a story on 20/20 the other night about Natalee Holloway.  If any of  you read my last journal I was like a regular commenter on what was going on in that investigation.  It looks like that young kid that has been arrested a couple of times and released did know what happened to her.  He admitted to a friend, with a hidden camera in his car, that he was with her and she went into convulsions on the beach and laid lifeless.  He called a friend who took her out on his boat and dumped her in the ocean.  He also admitted that he didn't know for sure if she was dead or not.  I feel so bad for Natalee and her family.  What a terrible ordeal.

Did anyone see Jordin Sparks sing, or excuse me, lip sink the national anthem at the Super Bowl on Sunday.  I don't understand why she couldn't just sing it.  It was blatantly obvious that sound wasn't coming out of her mouth and that it was previously recorded.  Why have her there at all is she can't sing in front of a crowd.

Anyway, I think that I have more than made up for not having an entry for a week.  Thank you to Dianna for the lovely graphic at the top and I just love the picture of Carrie Underwood that someone sent me that was taken on New Year's Eve.  Hope you will all have a happy tomorrow. Luv ya!  TTFN
You Are Sunrise
You enjoy living a slow, fulfilling life. You enjoy living every moment, no matter how ordinary.
You are a person of reflection and meditation. You start and end every day by looking inward.
Caring and giving, you enjoy making people happy. You're often cooking for friends or buying them gifts.
All in all, you know how to love life for what it is - not for how it should be.

Missed hearing from you hon! I continue to keep your sister in my prayers on the smoke! As for the survey:
You Are Midnight

You are more than a little eccentric, and you're apt to keep very unusual habits.
Whether you're a nightowl, living in a commune, or taking a vow of silence - you like to experiment with your lifestyle.
Expressing your individuality is important to you, and you often lie awake in bed thinking about the world and your place in it.
You enjoy staying home, but that doesn't mean you're a hermit. You also appreciate quality time with family and close friends.

I seen that on Natalee, but then he said he knew he was being set up and said that because that is what they wanted to hear. Has he been given a lie detector test??? So sad, that poor family.

I am sorry to hear Carrie is having such troubles.   I have another friend undergoing chemo at this time and its even worse.   I just hate seeing people that I love and respect having such hard times.  :(   The whole thing about Natalee is just sick, the police on Aruba are bafoons...  They blew this thing from the get-go, and Natalee's family will probably never see justice.      Glad you are feeling better, been kind of under the weather myself.     luvya   john

I feel so bad for your sister having to undergo such treatments, and I feel even worse for you because you can't be there to hold her hand!!!  I hope she doesn't lose her hair; it is really hard on girls/women.  Although I must say, my daughter and my mom adjusted to it failry well.  Maybe it is just the THOUGHT of it that freaks us out.
I did not closely follow that story about Natalee.  But it makes me sick to know that they have arrested "the right" person twice and he has the nerve to admit to his involvement, presuming he is safe from being held legally accountable.
I didn't watch the Super Bowl (gasp!)...
I am SO glad it is over, however...
Do you still love me???  I still love YOU!  Jae
